Oil spill- www.bp.com/oilspillcleaning
Gulf Coast Oil has taken an effect on a lot of people. There are many people volunteering to help with this project.
Timely event: the people that are helping with this job are cleaning beaches to rid them of the oil. The oil spill has caused many people to lose their jobs in the sea. A lot of companies depend on the animals in the water such as fishes, clams, oyster, crabs and other animals to maintain a business. The BP organization has steeped in to offer the people affected by the oil spill some assistance. a representative for the BP organization the help will be continued as long as it was needed. The BP organization million of dollar already and is continually providing help on a daily basis until everything get back to normal.
Situation: the situation I think has a huge impact on everyone. Some people take vacations all around the world. The beaches are the most populated areas. The oil spill did not only affect the people but it also affected the animals as well. They had set up bird rehabilitations to help the damaged birds. Some of the animals that were killed due to the oil spill are large mass of fishes, turtles, birds, and dolphins. According to the BP website, the sea animals are suffering the most because around this time of year is when they reproduce. The main problem is this happens at the bottom sea level where the oil spill is located at. The people are devastated and do not know which way to turn. They depend on the different locations to make a living. The amount of time it is going to take is uncertain.
Audience: Being in the United States or anywhere for that matter we all experience problems. I think that things will eventually get better. The audience for this assignment is everyone in general. No one is perfect but when people work together we accomplish many things. We have encountered many things with the oil spill. I was not familiar with the amount of damage that was caused by the oil spill until I had to discuss this in this editorial because I felt that is of timely and important facts. I cannot say that I truly understand because I am not there. If there was one important lesson I have learned through life and that is blaming is not going to make the situation any better but helping is the only solution.
Intention: This is an important matter. I can say that it is kind of sad to I am just now learning so much about the situation. My overall intentions are to let people we already know what has happened. A important thing to wonder is what can we do help improve the situation.
As I expressed throughout the editorial, the oil spill has taken a toll on a lot of people. It is easy to point blame, but now we all need to help. We all still have things to be thankful for because some of survived through this. We face challenges every day if we quit then we given up on ourselves. We take pride in living in the United States so now it is time to demonstrate that pride for the whole world to see. We need to state strong and united as one. The important thing is working together now to prevent this from happening in the near future.

Blog Assignment 6

The group project itself is coming along good I think. At first I thought it was going to be hard because we are going to be working together through skype. The overall experience was okay. I am use to working with people face to face. It turned out better than I thought. It is actually easy to communicate with my group members. We are able to schedule times that are convenient for everyone. We meet as a group one night out of a week more if needed. However, my group member and I email back and forth throughout the week. We e-mail each other on the progress of each individual task that is complete to ensure that the group agrees on the assignment. We exchanged phone number so that if anything changes we can still contact each other. The group came up with names for the four of us. My particular part is the party planner. Once my group member decided on the actually event it seemed easier because we just had to think of the other things that would make it come together. I think that the carnival idea would make people want to get involve more because it is outside event and a fundraiser that is University of Southern Mississippi. This is a university that has been around for a hundred year most of the stores located in Hattiesburg has the logo in their window of a bald eagle. The carnival could be a way to just unite the Eagle fans.
As the party planner I would be responsible for thinking of games and other activities that will take place at this carnival. I will also be working with the other team members that need to be fulfilled. I am currently making a list of the activities and in the process of working on flyers for the event. Since this is an event to potentially raise money for the University of Southern Mississippi, I will also think of prices and things of that nature. After I have created some flyer and decide upon a reasonable price for the entrance into the carnival. Before the next deadline which is Tuesday I hope to finish my list of activities or funding raising ideas to raise money. I would also like to make flyers to be disturbed among people throughout the Hattiesburg area. Then I will try to get a head start on what needs to be done for the next week. I think the group will benefit from this because will have a week to make revisions on the complete project before the due date. I do not have any complaints about my group members. I feel that we work efficient as a time. We manage to keep things in tack with time and we communicate with any issue we are confronted with.
If there is one thing that I could recommend it would be for my instructor or discussion leader to look at the project created by my group to see what improves needs to be made. The overall skype experience was challenging and convenient. This class was the first time I used skype to communicate with students to work on a project.

Paralegal/ Legal Assistant – Training Available in Montgomery, AL
I would like to apply for this because even though I have taken the classes needed for this particular job training is still available. Paralegal studies require a good amount of research and knowledge about case law with training it makes things easier. The instructors within this field said that things become easier with the more practice an individual has. The other reason I would apply for this job is simply because of the location. It keeps me closer to my family for right now. I could learn more by going through training. It seems like a place where I would be able grow and expand for some years. Then maybe later I will be able to work for a more complex firm or corporation if I choose to do so.
The other thing I can appreciate about this job is that the pay depends on your abilities. There is room for a person to start a certain level and increase over time. When I fill out the resume, I am going to list all of my schooling history up to now. I will also be sure to mention all the groups and organization I have been in throughout my college history. I think it would also be very important for me to mention my grade point average from my previous college and other accomplishments that I made along the way regarding my studies.
My major is Paralegal Studies. I am currently a senior. I have taken 15 hours of paralegal class. These classes are Civil Litigation, Legal Research, Legal Drafting, Title Searching and Equity. The civil litigation class it was provides individuals with procedure that are carried out as a paralegal. As for the Legal Research, it was an introduction to the research itself. We learn the seven steps to begin to do the research a topic. For the legal research class we used a research method that would be carried out in seven steps. These steps are very important to finding case law that is either good or bad. The legal drafting class introduces you into producing documents such as notice of motion, motion to dismiss, answer, complaint, and briefs. The title searching class requires that you go to the courthouse and research the title to someone property. This would tell the people about the property they purchased if there was any easement, leans or unpaid taxes. This class also requires students to do Hud 1 and a Good Faith Estimate. The equity class contained two part family law, wills, and estate law. The first was family law in which we learned the twelve fault grounds for divorce, the five most common and under what circumstance was considered in the eyes of the law. We learned the five things that a married couple must decide upon in order to get a divorce. We learned about the twelve Albright factors that play a major role in deciding which parent gets to keep the child. As for the second part of equity, we learned the different. As for the second part of equity we learned the different types of wills. This class also provides students with an overall scope on who gets what after the person is no longer living and did not leave a will for the family with their belongs. For this particular class we had to create a divorce settlement and will. My overall view with classes in paralegal studies has been informal. The teachers are very helpful in supplying us the material to help us complete the assignments. If you need additional help, they are available and willing to help student one on one.
